Daughter, I’ve Got You

This week has reminded me of something I know, but often forget.

God cares for me.

As I sit in an ICU room beside my grandmother, there is an unexplainable peace that continues to settle my heart. Not because I know what tomorrow holds. Not because I have all the answers. But because I know the One who does.

In the quiet moments, I sense God whispering to my heart,

“Daughter, I’ve got you. I’ve got even the things you know nothing about. Your life is in My hands.”

Those words have become an anchor for me.

The enemy would love for us to believe we’re alone. He wants us to think our circumstances are too big, our problems are too complicated, and our future is uncertain. But none of that changes the character of God. He is still faithful. He is still present. He is still in control.

As people, we spend so much time trying to carry everything ourselves.

We hide behind smiles, nice clothes, impressive titles, degrees, accomplishments, and carefully crafted images. Somewhere along the way, many of us learned that showing emotion meant showing weakness. We were taught to be strong, push through, and fake it until we make it.

While determination has its place, pretending before God never does.

Our minds are incredibly powerful. They can convince us everything is falling apart or that everything is perfectly fine. Sometimes they even convince us that we have to keep pretending with God.

But the truth is, we can never fool Him.

He already knows.

He knows what keeps us awake at night.

He knows the tears we never let anyone see.

He knows the disappointments we buried years ago.

He knows the fears we refuse to admit out loud.

The problem isn’t that God doesn’t know. The problem is that we continue carrying burdens He never intended for us to carry.

As women, we’re often accustomed to carrying everything. We carry our families, our careers, our finances, our responsibilities, our dreams, and everyone else’s expectations. After doing it for so long, laying those burdens at God’s feet can almost feel unnatural.

I know because I’ve been there.

Sometimes life becomes so consuming that I forget one simple truth:

God cares for me.

If you can relate, it’s okay to say, “Amen,” or maybe even, “Ouch.”

God has never expected perfection from us. He asks for humility. He invites us to come honestly before Him.

He is all-powerful.

He is all-knowing.

He is all-wise.

He is the great I AM.

So today, I’m choosing to cast my cares on Him and rest in the confidence that He truly cares for me.

Even while sitting in this ICU room, I hear Him reminding me,

“Daughter, rest in My strength. Rest in My peace. Rest in My power. You don’t know what today holds, but I do. You don’t know all the plans I have for you, but I do.”

Maybe today you need that reminder too.

God cares about your feelings.

He cares about your disappointments.

He cares about your finances.

He cares about your family.

He cares about your career.

He cares about your health.

He cares about your dreams.

He cares about the burden you’ve been carrying in silence.

Whatever fills in your blank, He cares.

Don’t continue carrying what belongs at His feet.

Cast it on Him.

Then trust Him to carry you.

A New Perspective on The Plum Effect

As I reflected this week, I realized something else God has been teaching me.

My plan this summer was simple: go all in on building The Plum Effect.

Work harder.

Market more.

Improve the systems.

Increase sales.

Find funding.

Grow the business.

None of those goals are wrong. But God gently reminded me that this business was never mine to carry alone.

So today, I’m placing The Plum Effect in His hands.

I’m trusting Him with the marketing.

I’m trusting Him with the funding.

I’m trusting Him with the systems.

I’m trusting Him with customer retention.

I’m trusting Him to bring the right customers at the right time.

Because I’m beginning to see The Plum Effect differently.

It isn’t simply a side business. It isn’t just another way to make money. It is ministry.

God didn’t give me the name, the vision, or the passion for accessories by accident.

He gave me this assignment to reach women who need a reminder that when God places them in a room, He has already gone before them.

That’s why our message is more than a tagline.

Accessorize Boldly. Live Beautifully.

Accessorize Boldly isn’t simply about wearing beautiful accessories.

It’s about walking boldly in the calling God has placed on your life.

Living Beautifully isn’t about having a perfect life.

It’s about living confidently in the opportunities God has prepared for you, knowing He is with you every step of the way.

If The Plum Effect is truly ministry, then every order is an opportunity to encourage someone.

Every package is an opportunity to remind a woman that she is seen, valued, chosen, and loved by God.

That changes everything.

A Prayer for You

From this day forward, I want every order from The Plum Effect to carry more than beautiful accessories.

I want it to carry hope.

I want it to carry encouragement.

Most importantly, I want it to carry prayer.

So let me leave you with the same prayer I’ve been praying this week.

Father,

Thank You for caring about every detail of our lives. Thank You that nothing we face catches You by surprise. Teach us to release every burden we’ve been carrying and place it into Your capable hands.

Remind us that we were never meant to carry tomorrow’s worries. Fill us with Your peace that surpasses understanding, Your strength when we feel weak, and Your wisdom when we don’t know what to do.

Bless every woman reading these words. Meet her exactly where she is. Remind her that she is loved, seen, chosen, and never alone.

And when fear whispers that she won’t make it, let Your voice be louder, saying,

“Daughter, I’ve got you.”
